Should Mixed Teams be allowed to play in the Rugby World Cup?

Should Mixed Teams be allowed to play in the Rugby World Cup?
Should Mixed Teams be allowed to play in the Rugby World Cup? I think no. I think no because women already have their own world cup, if a male accidentally hurts a woman playing he might get charged, and to get a team of mixed genders with the same ability could be hard.

Firstly, women already have their own world cup. Female rugby players have different tournaments just like male rugby players. For example, male rugby players have the Lions Tour which occurs every 4 years in either New Zealand, Australia or South Africa. Women have Sevens comps and basically the same stuff as male rugby.

Secondly, if a male accidentally hurts a woman playing he could get charged. If a man unintentionally head highs a woman and she gets injured, will he get charged for assaulting a female? I can't find information around that little topic but if mixed teams happened the world rugby union would have to make a rule around that.

Finally, to get a team of mixed genders with the same ability could be hard. To get into the All Blacks the coaches are looking for the best of the best in our country. They could be looking for 30 skilful players and there could be 25 incredible male players and only 5 incredible females. If the rule was half male half female the team would be unfair.

So I strongly disagree that there should be mixed gender teams in the World Cup because women already have their own world Cup, if a male accidentally hurts a woman playing he could get charged, and to get a team of mixed genders with the same ability could be hard.

This is my speech

Hi I'm Ben and My speech topic for today is New Zealand is the best country in the world.
I reckon Nz has to be the best and most amazing country in the world Because of these 3 reasons. There are some of the most remote fishing, diving, and hunting spots, New Zealanders have our own little language and there are so many things to do.

Firstly, NZ has the most amazing fishing, diving, and hunting spots. In the south island, there is one place I would love to go to in the future. The place I would love to go to has to be one of the most remote fishing locations in the country. The Fiordland in the bottom left of the south island is amazing to me. I would love to go there and go fishing in the future because the scenery and the fishing sound amazing. Next, some of the most amazing hunting and diving spots are in the far north of NZ. Diving with my mates in Taputaputa was amazing with all the sea creatures we saw. Duck hunting this year was so fun up north. As we saw the sunrise and the ducks take to the sky it made me pumped for my first duck shooting season.

Secondly, We new Zealanders have our own language,
Tumeke, Shot Ghee, Chur bro, That's crack up, bro skux bro. Us kiwis use these words in our everyday lives. Some people call this NZ slang. This is something you will hear lots around New Zealand.

Finally, there are loads of things to do.
There is definitely loads of things to do whether it be fishing, diving, caving, hunting, swimming and loads more. The amazing places you would not normally hear about have some of the most amazing activities and sceneries. Just like when me and my family were driving to Wellington we stopped in this place called Otorohonga. There was the most amazing glowworm cave and that was in the middle of nowhere.

That's why I think NZ is the best country in the world, thanks.

Persuasive writing.

Should students be allowed to have cellphones in schools?

Should students be allowed to have cellphones in schools? Yes but no. I believe that students can have phones after school, but not during learning time. My reasons are, once the school bell for the end of day has rung, children should be allowed to go on their devices, only from the age of 13, and in lunch times if they’re getting picked up early.

Firstly, they should be allowed on devices in lunch times if they’re getting picked up during lunch time. If in the morning your parents tell you to take your phone to school cause they might take you to get lunch during lunchtime, you will be tempted to check your phone but you’re not allowed. If your family could write a note saying, “Could my child be allowed on his/her phone at lunch to ring me and check if lunch is still on?”, then you should be allowed on your phone but only for a certain amount of time.

Secondly, only from the age of 13. By saying this it follows on from my first reason, which is saying you can go on your phone at school only if you are 13 years old or over.

Finally, once the school bell for the end of day has rung, children should be allowed to go on their devices. Once the school bell has rung at the end of the day children should be allowed on their devices because school has finished and the teachers don't really have to look after the kids. It might be better if they go on their devices once the bus roll has been called so that they don't miss the bus because of playing a game or contacting someone.

So that why I  think cellphones should be allowed in schools.

MAHI TAHI

On Tuesday the 26th of February in MAHI TAHI we were told to copy and enlarge a little photo to make it fit the puzzle. We were made to use only little strips of paper and be inspired by Van Gogh, a famous artist.😁
